I was tremendously honored to have achieved my IAPS Master Circle status in 2019. Receiving my Master Circle Medallion from Richard McKinley in person at the IAPS 2022 Pastel World Convention was wonderful recognition.  In addition, one of my pastels was selected for the IAPS 8th Master Circle Exhibition in Albuquerque, New Mexico!

It has been an enormous honor to have had my pastels, portraits, florals and still lifes juried into the 34th, 41st, 42nd, 44th, 45th, 46th, 47th, 48th, 49th and 50th Pastel Society of America Annual Exhibitions, Enduring Brilliance, at the National Arts Club, 15 Gramercy Park South, New York City.  Truly exciting to be there to celebrate the Pastel Society of America’s 50th Anniversary amongst the best pastelists in the world!

My international awards include the Daniel E. Greene, PSA-MP, HFH Memorial Award in the 2020 Pastel Society of America Juried Exhibition and the Herman Margulies Bequest Award in the 2018 PSA Annual Juried Exhibition.  I was also awarded an Honorable Mention for my still life at the IAPS 2019 Convention Show.

Harmonic Celebration, my pastel floral, was on the cover of the 2021 Issue of Pastelagram, with a 4 page featured spread of my work and writing inside.

I was honored to have my pastel work juried into the International Association of Pastel Societies 24th Annual Exhibition, IAPS 31st Juried 2017 Web Show, IAPS 2018 Web Show, IAPS 2019 Convention Show, the IAPS Sixth Master Circle Exhibition at the Zhou B Art Center and the IAPS Seventh Master Circle 2021 Web Show, IAPS Eighth Master Circle Exhibition at the 2022 Pastel World Convention Show.

My work is in the permanent collection of the National Arts Club.   I am honored to be teaching a Virtual Workshop for the Pastel Society of America in November 2022.

I was so honored to have my piece, Tea Time Celebration, exhibited at the Pastel Society of America 50th Annual Juried Exhibition, Enduring Brilliance at the newly renovated National Arts Club in NYC.  PSA is celebrating their 50th Anniversary this year, and coming together once again to celebrate at the National Arts Club was truly exciting!

At the PSA 50th Anniversary Awards Ceremony and Annual Dinner with PSA President Jimmy Wright PSA-MP and PSA Board of Governors Member Arlene Richman PSA-MP.

Richard McKInley, President of IAPS, presented me with my Master Circle Medallion at the IAPS Honors Award Ceremony at the IAPS 2022 Pastel World Convention.  I achieved my Master Circle status in 2019.  It was such an honor to receive my medallion alongside so many talented Pastelists.   

What a tremendous honor to have my piece, The Power of Playfulness, in the IAPS 8th Master Circle Exhibition at the IAPS 2022 Pastel World Convention in Albuquerque, NM in June.

My pastel, Celebrating Life, was recognized with an Award of Excellence, by Awards Juror, Rob Gregoretti, PSA-MP, in the Pastel Society of New Jersey 17th Annual Juried Exhibition in June of 2022.

I was humbled to have my pastel, Gift of Gratitude, juried into the International Association of Pastel Societites Master Circle Exhibition 2021 Web Show.

My piece, Party of Eight, was recognized with a Merit Award in the Pastel Society of New Jersey 16th Annual Members Juried Exhibition in November 2021.  Claudia Seymour, PSA Master Pastelist, was our Awards Juror.  It was also juried into the Red Rock Pastel Society of Nevada 2021 Members Exhibition. Tony Allain, PSA spoke about my piece during the Zoom Awards presentation.

I was tremendously honored to have my pastel, Expression, juried into the Pastel Society of America 49th Annual Juried Exhibition, Enduring Brilliance, this year an online exhibition, due to Covid concerns.

What a thrill it was to have my piece, Harmonic Celebration, juried into the International Association of Pastel Societies 6th Master Circle Division Juried Exhibtion at the Zhou B. Art Center in Chicago, IL.  I was delighted to attend this extraordinary exhibition in person!

My pastel, Floral Sonata, was recognized with a Merit Award in the Pastel Society of New Jersey 16th Annual Members Exhibition by awards juror, Jude Tolar, PSA.  Jude is known for her beautiful florals.  Floral Sonata was also juried into the Red Rock Pastel Society of Nevada 2021 Members Exhibition

I was honored to receive an Honorable Mention for my floral from life, Fireworks, in the Pastel Society of New Jersey 3rd Biennial Signature Juried Exhibiton.  This pastel was also juried into the Red Rock Pastel Society of Nevada 2021 Members Exhibition.  Karen Margulis, PSA, spoke about my piece during her walk through of this magnificent show. 

I was delighted to have been awarded the Blick Art Materials Award for my piece, A Sweet Year Ahead, in the Pastel Society of New Jersey 15th Annual Juried Exhibition with Awards Juror, PSA Master Pastelist, Maria Marino.

At the Pastel Society of America's 48th Annual Juried Exhibition, Enduring Brilliance, Breaking Through Boundaries won the Daniel E. Greene MP, HFH Memorial Award.

I was honored to achieve my IAPS Master Circle status when my pastel, Reflections of an Artist, was juried into the IAPS 34th Juried Exhibition 2019 Convention Show in Albuquerque, New Mexico, winning an Honorable Mention.

New Beginnings won an Honorable Mention in the Alabama Pastel Society 2019 International Exhibition.

Symphony in Red was awarded an Honorable Mention at the Pastel Society of New Jersey 14th Annual Members Exhibition.

All You Need is Love, pastel done from life, was juried into the 46th Annual Pastel Society of America Exhibition, Enduring Brilliance, at the National Arts Club in New York City.  My piece won the Herman Margulies Bequest Award and, as a participant in the PSA Collectors Program, it was purchased by the curator of the National Arts Club for the permanent collection.

Emergence was juried into the International Association of Pastel Societies 31st Juried Exhibition/2017 Web Show.  The pastel was also awarded the General Pencil's Award by Jimmy Wright, PSA Master Pastelist in the 12th Annual Juried Pastel Society of New Jersey Exhibition in November of 2017.*

My pastel, Tea Kettle with Plum Mug, done from life, was juried into the 45th Annual Pastel Society
of America Exhibition, Enduring Brilliance, 
in New York City.  Additionally, I was delighted when that piece was highlighted as one of the top 10 pastels in "May's Marvellous Pastels" on Gail Sibley's prestigious blog, HowtoPastel. 

I was awarded First Place in the Alabama Pastel Society National Exhibition by award's juror Cameron Hampton, PSA, IAPS MC for my piece, Bella, in March of 2017.  Bella also won a Merit Award with award's juror and PSA Master Pastelist, Susan M. Story in the Pastel Society of New Jersey 11th Annual Juried Exhibition.

Afternoon Tea 2, my pastel created from life, was juried into the 44th Annual Pastel Society of America Exhibition, Enduring Brilliance, at the National Arts Club.  I was doubly honored when Richard McKinley, PSA Master Pastelist, spoke in depth about the piece at the National Arts Club tour. This piece was also recognized as Best in Still Life/Floral Category in the Pastel Society of New Jersey 11th Anniversary Member’s Exhibition in April 2016.

Reflections on a Snowy Day was recognized with an Award of Excellence, by PSA Master Pastelist and Hall of Fame Honoree, Rae Smith, award's juror for the Pastel Society of New Jersey First Biennial Juried Signature Member’s Exhibit in June of 2017.*

Childhood was juried into the International Association of Pastel Societies 24th Annual Juried Exhibition at Vose Galleries in Boston in May of 2014.  The piece was also recognized by renowned artist, our award's juror, Anne Kullaf, winning Best in Portrait and Figure Category in the Pastel Society of New Jersey Juried Exhibition in November 2013.

My piece, Mario, won a top award:  Outstanding Creativity and Use of Pastels in the Alabama Pastel Society Member's Show, October 2015.  The pastel also received an Honorable Mention in the June 2015 Pastel Society of New Jersey 10th Anniversary Spring Member’s Exhibition.

I was truly honored when The Life of An Artist was juried into the 42nd Annual Pastel Society of America Juried Exhibition, Enduring Brilliance, at the National Arts Club in NYC. This piece represents my return to working from life! I am thrilled that
I did so!

My portrait, Jami Swimming II, was juried into the 41st Annual Pastel Society of America Exhibition, Enduring Brilliance, at the National Arts Club in New York City.  Jami Swimming II was also spotlighted in the Frankly Penn Blog, "Who Knew?  The Pastel Society of America."  In addition, this piece was selected as
one of the top 10 pastels in "June’s Remarkable Pastels"
on Gail Sibley’s prestigious blog, HowtoPastel 
in June, 2015.
